Does it seem just a little too CONVENIENT that our government forced everyone to buy health insurance, and THEN imported Ebola???? It's like they knew something was about to happen.

Hey, we figured it out, gang. This ebola outbreak happened because of GOP budget cuts to the CDC and NIH.

If only the federal government had all the power and money it needs to protect us.

While the US federal government is assuring us this is all under control, the WHO says Ebola is 'most severe acute health emergency in modern times'

Meanwhile Liberia restricts travel, but the US does not.

And airports had to install their own Ebola test stations because the feds insist there is no risk.

It's almost like our federal government is out of touch with reality, or at least with common sense.

I heard ebola was created to kill off 85% of the human race by the Council on Foreign Relations, Bohemian Club, and the Tri Lats.

When I want to know about prices in the private sector, I know my first resource is the Congressional Budget Office. :nono:

Now we have a 26.year old nurse who contracted ebola from the Liberian who came into our country. We shouldn't be allowing any flights from any country on the African continent into this country. Period. This is Oshitlips once again neglecting his oath by not protecting the well being of the people of the United States. I bet if this outbreak were in Ireland instead of Africa, there would've been a flight ban weeks ago. And why in the FUCK are we putting 4000 troops on the ground over there????? That muslim fraud sitting in the oval office errrrrrrrrr golf course needs to be impeached.

Forget Isis/Isil and Obola, we've got a far superior threat to our national security..... /s/

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon released a report Monday asserting decisively that climate change poses an immediate threat to national security, with increased risks from terrorism, infectious disease, global poverty and food shortages. :drevil: It also predicted rising demand for military disaster response as extreme weather creates more global humanitarian crises.

“We have already seen these events unfold in other regions of the world,” he added, “and there are worrying signs that climate change will create serious risks to stability in our own hemisphere. Two of the worst droughts in the Americas have occurred in the past 10 years.” :o

While foreign policy experts have for years warned that climate change could present a future risk to national security, the Pentagon’s characterization of climate change as a threat demanding immediate action represents a significant shift for the military.

*Thankfully Our Dear Leader :arab: is focused like a laser on all our threats and there is nothing to fear :gnight:

And fucking amateur hour continues with this administration. This second person that treated Duncan actually flew in to Dallas 2 days ago from Cleveland. WTF! How about observing anyone who treated this guy to see if they develop symptoms before you let them travel all over the country. This guy need to be taken out of office like yesterday. This guy has no plan for anything except playing golf.

**TFT - Could THIS happen?? **

Alessandro Vespignani, a Northeastern University professor who runs computer simulations of infectious disease outbreaks warns there could be as many as two dozen people in the U.S. infected with Ebola by the end of the month.

The projections only run through October because it’s too difficult to model what will occur if the pace of the outbreak changes in West Africa, where more than 8,900 people have been infected and 4,400 have died, he said. If the outbreak isn’t contained, the numbers could rise significantly.

“If by the end of the year the growth rate hasn’t changed, then the game will be different,” Vespignani said. “It will increase for many other countries.”
The model analyzes disease activity, flight patterns and other factors that can contribute to its spread.

We have a worst-case scenario, and you don’t even want to know,” Vespignani said. “We could have widespread epidemics in other countries, maybe the Far East. That would be like a bad science fiction movie.”

The worst case would occur if Ebola acquires pandemic status and is no longer contained in West Africa, he said. It would be a catastrophic event, one Vespignani says he is confident won’t happen.
