m2's thread inspired this mimic of the Baseball's Unwritten Rules thread.

Unwritten rule #1 Superstars are immune from:
  • fouls
  • traveling
  • double-dribbling
  • palming the ball

And everyone knows it. I was listening to Boston vs. Cleveland a couple weeks ago. I hate the NBA, but it was the only radio station I could pick up for about 2 hours. Lebron got whistled for his 3rd foul early in the 2nd quarter and coach kept him in the game. The announcers were discussing the risks of leaving Lebron in the game. He might foul out. These announcers decided it was a safe play by the coach because there's no way a ref is going to whistle a 4th foul on Lebron before the half. Why the fukk not?? Because the fans wouldn't like it? Fans came to see Lebron and it's the officiator's job to make sure the fans get to see Lebron? Fuck this sport (theatre for the stupid) in its ass.

You can thank the Euros for bringing soccer into the hoop game.

UNWRITTEN RULE #2

-A player must work on his flopping as much as his footwork.

Charles Oakley wants to take his own life just so he can roll over in his grave at this shit.

I stopped watching the NBA when Laker fan made a name for themselves trashing police cars. I'm afraid college hoops is becoming infected with special treatment to NCAA icons as well. It's about ratings and niqqers, because niqqers that act like niqqers means ratings.

I played a little ball in high school, pick up games in college, and men's rec league. I remember the foul for PALMING. Guess it does not exist any more. It would be like if you allowed carrying in volleyball. I remember Michael Jordan getting away with multiple steps in his moves. I'm not even going into the games being fixed. Can't remember the lat NBA game I watched. Was a huge Syracuse Nationals fan back in the day.
