Mickelsons not winning

Quote:
ERIN, Wis. (AP) -- Phil Mickelson has withdrawn from the U.S. Open, realizing there was no chance to get from his daughter's high school graduation in California to make his tee time in Wisconsin.

This is the first time Mickelson has missed the U.S. Open since he failed to qualify in 1993.

Mickelson had been holding out hope that with the potential of storms over Wisconsin, there might be a four-hour delay that would allow him to watch his daughter graduate and zoom across the country in his private jet.

Instead, the U.S. Open began Thursday under sunshine with little threat of bad weather all day.

Roberto Diaz of Mexico, the next alternate, officially took Mickelson's afternoon tee time.

Would you do this with 2 years left in your career?

Rack Mickleson for putting family first. Graduations are something that only happen every two or three years in a child's life. They grow up so fast.

I've won US Opens, but you only get to see your child graduate from high school once.

I'm very happy with my decision.

I am still waiting for Club America to melt down over not setting up the contest at yahoo. It's kind of a tradition around here.

Whatever you say Phattie.

Since you're off this weekend then, feel free to DM me any stock 'tips' you're currently 'working on' ... 8-)

That's where I was at with this too. Been out at job sites the past two days and have shit planned almost all weekend. I wouldn't have gotten around to messing with the results until Monday afternoon and there would have been bitching about that so I opted to pass.
